As a mat­ter of pol­icy, be­fore pub­li­ca­tion the test re­sults for the brands are shared with their re­spec­tive man­u­fac­tur­ers/mar­keters invit­ing their views/com­ments. We re­pro­duce here the re­ac­tions: Man­u­fac­turer (Brand Name) Havells Man­u­fac­turer’s Com­ment Air de­liv­ery of Havells ES 50 fan is 211 m3/min, whereas it is 202 m3/min in the re­port. The air de­liv­ery as per is 202.13 m3/min as against the 215 to 220 m3/min mea­sured by us in our test lab. This may have hap­pened due to ‘de­for­ma­tion’ of blade pro­file/ an­gles dur­ing han­dling/tran­sit of fan. To rec­tify this de­fect in blade, we re­quest you to al­low us to re­set the blades at your premises, af­ter which you may carry out recheck­ing of air de­liv­ery. Air de­liv­ery (m3/min) is men­tioned as 205. How­ever, air de­liv­ery of 215 m3/min, with an ac­cu­racy of +/- 2%, has been ob­served in the Corona VX model un­der stan­dard test con­di­tions. Air de­liv­ery ob­served in the test is 204.52 m3/min. As per our records, the aird­e­liv­ery ob­ser­va­tion is in the range of 211–216 m3/min. VOICE So­ci­ety’s Re­ply Re-test was done on ceil­ing fan. There is no dif­fer­ence ob­tained on air de­liv­ery value from the ear­lier test. The test re­sults were sent on 25 April by email as well as speed post, re­quest­ing your com­ments within the spec­i­fied time (10 days). How­ever, we re­ceived your com­ments on 18 May. It was ver­i­fied that there was no de­for­ma­tion of blade pro­file/ an­gle/sweep (run­ning). Re­sponse same as above for Khai­tan The test re­sults were sent on 25 April by email as well as speed post, re­quest­ing your com­ments within the spec­i­fied time (10 days). How­ever, we re­ceived your com­ments on 13 May.
