“I had a marathon day of two job interviews with different law firms all over the city. The first one was great, so I grabbed lunch and felt confident going into the second. It started off well, until the interviewer asked me why I wanted to work there. She looked at me funny, while I was answering, but I kept going. Her reply, ‘Thanks for your time, but if you want to work at this other firm so badly, focus your energy on that.’ I had slipped and said the name of the firm I’d interviewed with earlier that day. I just thanked her for her time and left. ”
