“Studies seem to be rather anti the curvy girl right now. Apparently, just looking at a chubby model will make us fat, and hanging with a ‘big’ friend will trigger a binge! The reports are upsetting, offending, and completely ignore the harm caused by ‘skinnies’. It’s hardly news that stickthin models set an unrealistic standard for women, create ripples of insecurity, and make millions anxious that their non anorexic figures are unattractive. So yes, I am rooting for the overweight girl, because God knows we need some real female role models, women many of us can relate to, instead of just a bunch of beautiful hangers.”
