Inspired by everything from her travels to architecture, this Delhi-based designer is the fashion name to know.

24-year-old Ruchika Sachdeva is all of two fashion seasons old, but her work doesn’t reflect that. Her latest collection, Bodice, has won her major accolades, including mega media buzz, hushed chats in the front row touting her as the name to watch out for, and a slew of orders. “I was overwhelmed by the response,” gushes Ruchika. “Showcasing at LFW gave me a lot of exposure and an opportunity to meet people who appreciate and understand fashion the way I do. It was a dream come true.” Ruchika’s signature style is androgyny, with a twist—her pieces feature sharp tailoring, graphic silhouettes, and clever accessory pairings that make every look stand out. Currently, what’s keeping Ruchika busy is her upcoming Resort 2012 collection and her recently opened store at Hauz Khas. “I’m excited to say the least,” she tells us.
