Designer Namrata Joshipura reveals how to make the best of yourour shape.

-

1. If you’re apple-shaped:

Define your waist and add structure by investing in good lingerie. Large prints, especially placed on problem areas, will draw attention to them, and make you look boxy. Pick small patterns, instead.

2. If you’re pear-shaped:

Focus atttention upwards by choosing slim, fittted tops and cardigans. Layering gaarments is a great way to balance the peear shape. Keep the hem of pants, skkirts and dresses wide to visually baalance your body. Soft pastels will wwork well for you.

3. If you have an hourglass figure:

The key here is proportion. Make the best of your tiny waist by enhancing your shape with a belt over shirts and dresses. You can create more curves by proportionally adding volume to the upper and lower body.

4. If you have a straight, boyish figure:

The goal here is to add shape. Draped dresses with feminine patterns will create curves in all the right places. Feminine fabrics like chiffon will also soften your shape. Add body definition through colourblocked outfits.
