40% of you want to be models
Nidhi Sunil
This stunner’s fashion run rate is super high: she has starred in editorials with the best in the biz, walked the ramp for pretty much every designer,
and been on the cover of several glossies.
When did you decide you want to be a model?
“I decided to give it a shot after I graduated from law school to see how it would go, and this is where I ended up!”
How did you get your break?
“I was the backup girl when the model a stylist had booked failed to show up for an editorial job. Also, I was part of a model hunt that I was helping the crew with.”
What does it take to be a successful model?
“It’s pretty much the same across all professions— perseverance, hard work, people skills, a certain amount of talent and focus. Also, you have to win the genetic lottery!”
What is your advice to someone who wants to become a top model?
“To be brutally honest, it’s a shallow job and industry even at it’s peak. The best way to survive it—and even love it—is to get some perspective and acquire a life outside of it.”
