Brad Pitt: “I thought we were already as deep in as you could get, but marriage upped the ante.”
The eternal heartthrob Brad Pitt tells Cosmo about his wedding to Angelina, and the dysfunctional honeymoon they’ve had while shooting for their new film, Fury...
“It feels good. It’s something we thought we would do for the kids and the family but it means something—it’s not just a piece of paper. I thought we were as deep as you can get with six kids, but marriage upped the ante.”
“Yeah, it’s our dysfunctional honeymoon (laughs). But it was our choice. It’s been challenging but fun. She knows what she’s doing.”
“She’s still shooting in Malta. She carved out a little chunk in the schedule so I could do this. So, yeah, this is our honeymoon. But it’s not a bad place to be in. It’s beautiful there!”
“Yeah, we don’t hold back but that’s because this movie really focuses on the true horror of war. It’s not about the politics of it all, it’s about some guys with a job at hand—the kind we ask our men and women in military service to do.”
“It’s no big deal. It’s not like you suddenly feel any older. Anyway, the trade-off is wisdom—at least for most us! Also, I don’t generally worry about getting old. In fact, I welcome it.”
