Digital India is about to turn two years old in a few months’ time. It is a substantial time to get a sneak peek into the progress and the change it had promised. Dataquest spoke to a host of government officers, policy makers and implementers in order to know in what ways Digital India is enabling their departments and bringing the promised change.
The primary objective behind Digital India is to provide the rural population with all the digital tools which can help them grow and reach at par with the urban population. At the same time, it is aimed at bringing change in the government services – G2B, G2G, G2C, etc.
To comprehend how far we have come as a country seeking digital development, Dataquest interviewed top IAS officials of a few departments to know their opinion on the role of technology.
