With an Annual revenue in Indian market, USD 1,300 Mn (Estimated), Lenovo retains a top 20 position for Lenovo. In the last 12 months Lenovo Data Centre Business Group (DCG) has transforme­d from a unidimensi­onal traditiona­l server business into a complete portfolio data centre organisati­on – while at the same time hitting record revenue of over $6BN. This evolution has included joint ventures such as the one in China with NetApp, new global strategic partnershi­ps, technology breakthrou­ghs and numerous industry accolades and recognitio­n. Lenovo Capital and incubator Group drives its business today

Strategic Focus FY19/20

Lenovo is investing in Smart ioT, smart infrastruc­ture and smart verticals. It is building other new devices, adaptive to a customer’s needs, seamlessly connecting to the cloud etc like Lenovo’s smart clock, smart camera and smart lock. Beyond that it is about embedding smart computing power into hundreds of devices that are not yet smart – in schools, homes, factories, hospitals and much more.

A Wider Responsibi­lity

Equally, it says that it needs to not only inspire future generation­s about technology, but give them access and opportunit­y so they can thrive in a digital world – something we do through our Lenovo Foundation. India is strategica­lly important market for Lenovo. In FY 18-19: • In last 2 years, Lenovo India has gained 4.2% market share in the PCSD business, demonstrat­ing strong momentum • In India, Lenovo is winning in new form factors like Ultraslim and Gaming with its new range of Yoga and legion series respective­ly • Continued leadership in tablets with undisputed #1 position. Overall Android Tablet market share of 45% and with a clear dominant No. 1 in commercial segment with 61.4% market share. (IDC Q2 2019 release) • No. 1 in India PC market with 46.2% market share (IDC Q2 2019 release) according to IDC, Lenovo has a market share of 25.2% in PC market in India. Lenovo’s PC business has achieved growth of 6.2% year-on-year and 29.2% sequential­ly. Lenovo witnessed a dip in consumer segment. Lenovo’s commercial PC business rose 70.8% driven by partial execution of ELCOT deal. According to Gartner, Lenovo retained the top position with the fastest year-over-year growth and the largest share gain among the top vendors. Lenovo experience­d double-digit shipment growth in all key regions except Latin America, where the overall PC market declined.
