Emraan has more takers

-

Even before the release of Emraan Hashmi’s first solo hero film, Ghanchakkar, with UTV, the head honcho of the production house Siddharth Roy Kapoor, has roped him for yet another film.

The untitled film will be directed by Kunal Deshmukh who has worked with Emraan in the past in films such as Jannat, Jannat 2 and Tum Mile. Kunal is happy with the opportunity of collaborating with Emraan with whom he shares a good work rapport.

“The film will go on the floors in the latter half of this year. The detailing and other pre-production work on the film is being worked upon,” says our source. Emraan will be on a break for a month after the release of Ghanchakkar. “I’ll commence work on my newer lot of films only after I get back from my holiday,” said the actor.

Sources say that the production house was very impressed with Emraan after working with him in Ghanchakkar. He also has a Bhatt film in his kitty. Looks like the actor who is known to be Mahesh Bhatt’s blue-eyed boy has now become UTV’s trump card as well.

— RK Andaz Apna Apna Salman Khan. “I never thought I’ll become a star, and that too a successful one! When I analyse my career, I truly wonder how I reached this place. I thank filmmakers, technicians, co-stars and the audience from the bottom of my heart for their undying love and support, without which it wouldn’t have been possible. I’m also thankful to my entire family, including Reena (his first wife), Kiran Rao and my kids,” he said.

Aamir, who will soon be seen in a special song in the film Bombay Talkies, is sad that his buddy Salman Khan couldn’t be a part of it. “I wish Salman could have been a part of Bombay Talkies. I’m glad to be associated with the film in whatever capacity I could be. And I’m also glad that I completed 25 years of my career this year when cinema itself completes 100 years.”
