Healing powers of holy Rudraksha
The word Rudraksha is derived from two words — Rudra, which means Lord Shiva and aksha that means eyes. They are the sacred seeds connected to the tree linked with Lord Shiva. Rudraksha has innumerable benefits as it is linked with positivity, good health and is often used in controlling diseases and health ailments, chakra balancing and aura cleansing. Rudraksha is considered to be a life-saving herb or seed ( sanjeevani), and can be used in various forms — either by wearing it or having water energised by Rudraksha.
By adding Rudraksha to water, we can have Rudraksha water which is helpful in maintaining body temperature, detoxifying body, for glowing healthy skin, it prevents cardiac diseases, con- trols blood pressure, gastric problems, headache, diabetes, anaemia, obesity, constipation, etc. The benefits are simply countless.
Place 2 to 5 beads of panchmukhi Rudraksha in a glass of water on a Sunday evening and let it soak overnight. Rudraksha will exchange ions in water. Next morning, take out the Rudraksha (the beads can be kept in the temple of the house or in a box in the refrigerator) and drink this water first thing in the morning while chanting Om Namah Shivay. Make sure you are empty stomach. This water can be taken daily and you will start feeling its effect after eight days. If you continue, change the Rudraksha every three months.
