CAT TO HEAR OFFICERS’ PLEA ON TRANSFER

Wednesday will be a busy day for more than a dozen officers belonging to the All India Service as the Hyderabad

bench of the Central Administra­tive Tribunal (CAT) will take up the hearing of their pleas challengin­g cadre allotment by the Centre after divi

sion of the Andhra Pradesh. A two-member bench comprising B. Venkateshw­ara Rao ( judicial) and M.S. Ranjana Chowdary (admin) will hear the petitions by Somesh Kumar, C.

Hari Kiran, S.S. Rawat, G. Anantha Ramu, A. Vidya Sagar,

J.R. Anand, Ms Srijana Gummalla, L. Siva Shankar, Ms K. Amrapali, Ronald Rose, Ms Karuna Vakati and Vani Prasad IAS officers and Dr P.S. Raghavaiah IFS and Ms

Abhilasha Bisht, A.V. Ranganath, Santosh Mehra and

M. Shiva Prasad IPS officers. Aggrieved by cadre allotment by the Centre, all the officers moved applicatio­ns contending

that the findings of the Pratyush Sinha committee are erroneous with regard to finalising their domicile status and also considerin­g their options

given for the allotment. The tribunal already granted interim stays in majority of the cases directing the Centre as

well as the states of AP and Telangana to continue them in their respective postings till the final disposal of their applica

tions.
