Cop exploits 15-year-old girl
Hyderabad: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a cop at Shivampet in Medak district. The incident came to light a few days ago when the victim escaped and approached child welfare officials. The accused Hari Naik, 46, who is attached to the Kukatpally police station, is on sick leave since four years. He developed an extramarital affair with the victim’s mother and eventually made her force the victim into the flesh trade. The victim was sexually exploited in different places.
“The victim’s mother brought the minor from her father’s place. She was lured by Hari. He was allowed to sexually exploit the victim and he forced her into the flesh trade,” said SI M. Rajesh Naik.
Her mother allegedly forced her into prostitution and was being paid a good sum.

The accused, Hari Naik, a resident of Vikarabad lives in Pragathi Nagar in Kukatpally. However, he was not attending duties and is on sick leave. His driver Nehru who was acquainted with the victim’s mother, a resident of Bahadurpally in Shivampet, intro- duced Hari to her. After separating from her first husband she married another man. However, her daughter from the first husband who is the victim stayed at his place in Warangal district. Hari developed an extramarital affair with the victim's mother.
“During their meeting he asked her for women, to fulfil his sex drive and said he was ready to pay a handsome amount. Eventually, the victim’s mother brought her from her father's place. She was lured by Hari. He was allowed to sexually exploit the victim and he forced her into the flesh trade,” said SI M. Rajesh Naik.
The victim who is studying is Class IX was being sexually exploited since January. She was taken to various places including Yadagirigutta, Medchal and kept in a hotel and allegedly raped. Her mother too allegedly forced her into prostitution and was being paid a good sum.
“Last Sunday when Hari had plans to take her to a hotel again, she escaped and called the childline number 1098 seeking help. On receipt of the information we rushed to the spot and arrested Hari, Nehru and the victim's mother. The girl was rescued,” Mr Rajesh said. A case for rape under the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was booked .
