Meanwhile, relatives of the victims said that the condition of Harish, the husband of deceased Infosys techie Soni, is very critical.

According to Gachibowli police, who has booked a case against Shwetabh for causing death and injuring motorists through negligence and drunk driving, the interns and the accused were heading to Mind Space junction after a liquor party.

After questioning the interns, police said the accused was competing with another car on Outer Ring Road. “He drove so fast to overtake another car, which was ahead of them. He was too drunk to control the vehicle when it reached the main road after ORR,” said an official from the Gachibowli police station.

Though the police could seize the Skoda Octavia car Shwetabh has been absconding. Cops have searched his residence at Dundigal, and has been tracking his friends and relatives in the city.

Meanwhile, the victims’ relatives demanded the immediate arrest of the accused. “The condition of Harish is very critical. Police should soon arrest the drunk killer who did not care about lives,” said a relative.
