Had no prior terror alert: Nayani NOBODY SHOULD HAVE THIS FATE: AZEEZUDDIN

- HYDERABAD, APRIL. 6

Telangana home minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy said that there were no intelligence alerts about the movement of terror suspects in the state before the two shootouts in Nalgonda.

Talking to the media here on Monday after visiting the injured SI Siddaiah, the minister said there were no Simi activities or members in Hyderabad.

“We did not have any intelligence alerts before the attacks. They were mistaken as robbers till their identity was found out,” Mr Reddy said. He added the cops who participated in the Nalgonda operations had enough weapons and that the police force is efficient in such operations.

The home minister said that searches are going on to hunt down the rest of the terror suspects. “Police from four states are jointly searching for the terror suspects. We will not tolerate any antisocial elements,” he said.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan visited the injured SI and met his family at Kamineni Hospital on Monday. They praised the brave policemen and also assured support for his family.

Meanwhile, the condition of the SI has not improved and the medical bulletin of the hospital stated that he continues to remain critical. His condition is deteriorating as his brain functions are not normal. Hyderabad: “No other father or family should have this fate,” said slain terror suspect Ajajuddina’s father, Azeezuddin, who came to receive his son’s body in Nalgonda district. “He was bad. He moved out of our house five years ago. While his four siblings were cordial to each other, he was not,” said a devastated Azeezuddin.

For a long time the family was unaware of his activities. They came to know after his arrest by the Madhya Pradesh police. After he escaped from the jail in MP, he had never been in contact with the family.

Azeezuddin said that they came to know about his death through the TV. “The news was on TV and we recognised him. We also checked with the local police,”he said.
