Woman brutally raped in Bihar

A 21-year-old woman was brutally raped by a local goon in Bihar’s Motihari at gunpoint. According to reports, the victim was dragged out of her house last week by a few men and was badly beaten up and raped.

The accused who raped the victim later brutalised her by inserting a pistol and some wooden object in her genital area. She was later rushed to a local hospital in a critical condition. The incident, according to sources, had occurred last week in Jumaitola village under Ramgarhwa police station limits, but it came to light on Thursday after the girl’s family complained of “no police action against the accused”. According to the victim’s mother, “There has been no action against the accused. My daughter was raped and we want police to arrest the accused.”

According to reports, the accused identified as Samiullah, had in the past too sexually assaulted the victim and had also made a video clip of the act which he used as a tool to blackmail her.

Sources close to the family said, in retaliation by Samiullah’s blackmailing, she attacked him with a blade which infuriated the accused and he raped her and brutalised her. Police later lodged an FIR against five men, including Samiullah and launched a search operation to nab them.

Sources close to family members said, the girl was sexually assaulted on June 15 by Samiullah when she had gone out to defecate. They said, the victim later narrated the incident to her mother who went to the house of the accused to lodge a formal protest but instead she was abused and beaten up. Peeved by the allegation, Samiullah along with five other men, dragged her out the house and raped her. “The incident occurred on June 15 but medical examination of the victim was done on June 22.”
