The Cyberabad police commission­erate has been divided into Cyberabad East and Cyberabad West.

The state government will appoint two IGranked officials for the new commission­erates after transferri­ng the present commission­er, Mr C.V. Anand. According to sources, IGs Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat and Naveen Chand are likely to be appointed as the commission­ers of East and West Cyberabad.

The new commission­erates will have extended jurisdicti­on into the neighbouri­ng districts apart from Ranga Reddy. Urban and semi urban parts of Nalgonda, Medak and Mahbubnaga­r have also been included in these commission­erates.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police commission­erate has been divided into Cyberabad East and Cyberabad West. According to the GO issued on Thursday, Cyberabad West will have three zones — Balanagar, Madhapur and Shamshabad, with Balanagar, Pahadishar­if, Madhapur, Kukatpally, Miyapur, Shamshabad, Rajendrana­gar and Shadnagar as the divisions. Three Central Crime Stations will be set up in three zones in West Cyberabad. A Women's police station for the IT corridor will also be a part of it . Cyberabad East will include three zones - L.B. Nagar, Malkajgiri and Bhongir. These zones will have Bhongir, Choutuppal, Malkajgiri, Kushaiguda, Vanasthali­puram, L.B. Nagar and Ibrahimpat­nam as divisions. Three CCS in each zone and the Saroornaga­r Women's police station will be under East Cyberabad jurisdicti­on. The government has also allotted additional force to both the commission­erates based on proposals send by director general of police Anurag Sharma. These include 346 constables, 2,000 home guards, 135 ministeria­l staff and 41 outsourced employees
