Rejig of city police officers

The state government has on Monday appointed two commission­ers of police for the newly-bifurcated Cyberabad Commission­erate — Cyberabad East and West. –

With the present commission­er of police for undivided Cyberabad C.V. Anand proceeding on leave for personal reasons, the government has appointed V. Naveen Chand to Cyberabad (West) as Commis- sioner and Mr Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat as Commission­er of Cyberabad (East).

The government also transferre­d six more IPS officials. Greyhounds DIG M. Stephen Raveendra has been transferre­d and posted as joint commission­er to Cyberabad (West) wile T.V. Sashidhar Reddy was transferre­d and posted as joint commission­er for Cyberabad (East).

IGP for law and order Mrugesh Kumar Singh has been transferre­d to RBVRR TS Police Academy as additional director while D. Kalpana Nayak from Police Academy has been transferre­d as IGP (L&O).

The transfer orders issued by the state government stated that the recent transfer of IGP (personnel) Sandeep Shandilya stands cancelled.

Further, V.V. Srinivasa Rao’s transfer orders issued earlier have been modified as Addl. CP ( L&O) to Hyderabad city.
