FRUDSTERS DUPE MAN, NET `6 LAKH

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old graduate of Chilkalguda was cheated by two fraudsters who promised him a job in the agricultural department. The crooks collected `6 lakh from the man Ranjith a few months ago. Ranjith, belonging to Warangal, fell prey to the gang a few months ago. Police said, Ranjith, completed graduation some years ago and came to Hyderabad looking for employment. He was staying in a room at Chilkalguda and was working for a private firm in the city. A few months ago, he met one Suresh and became friends with him. Through Suresh he came to know about one Naidu, who promised to get him a job in the Telangana agricultural department. Ranjith who was dreaming of a government job fell into his trap. “From mid-2015, Ranjith paid them `6 lakh in instalments. But they kept delaying the appointment. When he found that their mobile phones were switched off since some days he realised that he had been cheated,” Chilkalguda inspector K. Srinivasulu said. Based on Ranjith’s complaint a cheating case was registered against Satish and Naidu, who are at large. The police has launched a manhunt for the absconding Satish and his friend Naidu.
