Teacher dies after dog crosses way

A 58-year-old man, who was riding pillion on a two wheeler to watch Kabali film, died when he fell down after a stray dog ran into the path of the vehicle on the Nanjundapuram-Podanur Road on Saturday. Police said Ponnusamy from Irugur was riding pillion in a bike driven by his relative Sivanandam on the Nanjundapuram-Podanur Road, when the dog came in their way. “Sivanandam had applied sudden brake, but lost control of the bike and both fell down. Ponnusamy suffered severe head injury and died without responding to treatment at CMCH, while Sivanandam is under treatment,” police said. Investigation is going on.
