HC: Invite YSRC to all-party meeting

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Monday directed the TS government to invite the YSR Congress to future all-party meetings to discuss the creation of new districts in the state. Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao granted the interim direction on a petition by YSRC’s TS unit’s general secretary K. Shiva Kumar who questioned why the TS government did not invite it to the all-party meeting held recently on creation of new districts. The petitioner stated that the government convened an allparty meeting on August 20, 2016 chaired by the Chief Minister to discuss the creation of new districts, and accordingly, invited all recognised political parties but ignored the YSRC. He said despite representation to the authorities, there was no invitation to the meeting.
