Woman set ablaze for no to wedding

New Delhi: A 25-year-old woman was set ablaze by a man for allegedly turning down his wedding proposal. The incident took place at the victim’s home in Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy area, when the accused, Abhishek along with a few friends started beating the woman’s relatives. A relative of the victim said Abhishek and his friends used to trouble the woman whenever she would step out. “They had been troubling her for at least 10 days. Abhishek then came to our house, with his uncles and friends and told her to marry him. When she refused, he poured kerosene on her and set her on fire.”
