Who creates these surreal paintings?
France-based Ciryl Rolando is not only a clinical psychologist but an extremely talented digital artist as you can tell from his paintings. He works under his artist name Aquasixio, and focuses on the human emotions and colours. He describes his work as otherworldly, says Bored Panda, and we have to agree that these images have a surreal feel to them. “Tim Burton and Hayao Miyazaki are both the roots of my own world. I like the surrealism movement, especially the work of Boris Vian and his ‘Foam of the Daze’ (L’Ecume des jours),” he says. He also likes to depict sad stories because he believes the darkness of life is more inspiring than happy people.
