NEW SYSTEM DEVELOPS IN BAY

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Another upper air circulation has formed above west central Bay of Bengal but has not been established yet.

If this circulation persists and turns into a low pressure area, Telangana will be under heavy rainfall warning up to October 2.

The IMD software shows strong indications of the upper air circulation moving towards TS and coastal AP.

IMD-Hyderabad director Y.K. Reddy said: “The IMD global forecast models are indicating another upper air cyclonic circulation forming above west central Bay of Bengal , but it is not established yet. The IMD will get clarity by September 25 on whether or not it will intensify. Heavy rainfall has been announced up to September 29. If the fresh system intensifies, TS and AP will receive another spell of heavy rain.”

If the upper air circulation intensifies into a low pressure area and moves inland, it would facilitate high intensity cloud formation leading to heavy rains.

Apart from this, there is a well-marked low pressure area over TS and south Chattisgarh and Vidarbha.

On Saturday. Armur of Nizamabad received 39 cm of rain followed by Madnur, Ranjal (Nizamabad) and Nirmal of Adilabad with 20 cm rainfall.
