AS PER NPCI, the information received from various affected banks is that the total amount involved in the breach is about `1.3 crore THE FRAUD came to light when customers started reporting that their cards were being used in China and the US while they are in the country ALL AFFECTED banks have been alerted by all card networks that a total card base of about 3.2 million could possibly have been compromised in the breach

In situations where customers could not be contacted, the cards have been blocked and fresh cards are being issued by member banks
