St Peter’s too score huge victory in schools premier league

All Saints High School scored a thumping victory over Hyderabad Public School Begumpet in the 4th Louis Emanuel Premier League inter-school cricket tournament being held in Hyderabad.

The All Saints boys proved too powerful for their HPS counterpar­ts as they scored a 94-run win. P. Shiva struck seven boundaries in his 55 and Junaid slammed nine fours and two sixes for his 54 as All Saints made 155 for 3 in their stipulated 20 overs.

HPS were no match for this total, and folded for a paltry 61 as Adnan (4/20) and P. Shiva (2/5) shared the spoils. Shiva was adjudged Man of the Match for his allround show.

In another match, St Peter’s defeated Global Internatio­nal School by 91 runs. Batting first, St Peters made 156/6 in 20 overs riding on handy knocks from P.V. Rahul Reddy (40), Tarun Raj (37) and Vishnu (21). In reply, Global could only make 65 for the loss of eight wickets.

St Patrick’s also cruised to a comfortabl­e win. Batting first, they made 165 for 3 with the help of half-centuries from Soman Satwik (64 — 8x4. 3x6) and Sahil Krishna (50 — 7x4, 1x6). Gowtham Model School could only manage 128/6 in their quota of overs to lose by 37 runs.
