St Andrews, Vaswani are champs

St Andrews boys and Sadhu Vaswani Internatio­nal School girls emerged champions of the 13th Rev. Fr Devasia interschoo­ls chess tournament organised by the St Andrews High School, Bowenpally, Hyderabad.

After the fifth and final round, Andrews boys rose to the top while Chirec Internatio­nal School and Pallavi Model School shared the runner-up spot.

In girls section, Jubliee Hills Public School finished second.

FINAL STANDINGS Boys: 1. St Anrdrews School (A team, 8 points), 2. Chirec Internatio­nal School and Pallavi Model School (8 each), 3. Secunderab­ad Public School (6), 4. St Andrews (B team, 6), 5. Unicent High School (6). Girls: 1. Sadhu Vaswani Internatio­nal School (9 points), 2. Jubliee Hills Public School (9), 3. St Andrews (A team, 7), 4. St Andrews (B team, 6), 5. Pallavi Model School (5).
