JUDY MAKES FUN OF MURRAY

He may have just rounded off his year by claiming the Sports Personality Of The Year award.

But it seems that Andy Murray’s status as the top-seeded tennis player didn’t stop his mother Judy from poking fun at her son on Christmas Day. Sharing a snap of the 29-year-old Wimbledon champion on Sunday via her Twitter account, Judy, 57, took a playful dig at her son for wearing his grandpa’s cap and jacket. Apparently about to head out on a Christmas day walk with his puppy, the Scottish sports star was snapped looking a far cry from his usual serious self. Famed for his stern and nononsense demenour on the court, Andy was snapped grinning in a bashful manner as he clutched the small dog in his hands. Wearing a tweed flat cap and baggy green wax jacket, the Scottish star was obviously expecting to encounter some foul winter weather on his outing.

However, it would seem Judy couldn’t resist playing a prank on her son, and promptly snapped a photo to share on social media. “When u walk the puppy on Christmas Day wearing ur grandpas bunnet and anorak... @andy_murray keeping it real [sic],” she captioned the photo.

Judy also later on shared a picture of one of her Christmas presents, a mug which bore the message: “Dear Mum, Tahnks 4 putting up with a spoiled, ungrateful, messy, bratty child, like my sibling. Love, Your Favourite.” Clearly keen to get her followers guessing which of her two tennis-playing sons gave her the mug, Judy asked her fans: “Made me laugh. But which son gave me this?” Judy hinted that it might have been Andy’s older brother Jamie, 30, who had bought her the mug — though the mother of two left it up to her fans to decide who the cheeky son was.
