Chanush, Sreshta are champions

Malishka, Mihir, Srihitha and Aryanth Reddy also bagged titles in different categories in the State ranking tennis tournament held at the Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad

Chanush Movva came up with allround tennis to bag the boys under 14 singles title at the Asterminds State Ranking tennis tournament held at the Sports Authority of Telangana State’s Tennis Complex in Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad.

Chanush proved too strong for Grahith Movva, thumping him with a 6-1 scoreline in a onesided final.

In boys Under 12 final, Aryanth Reddy and G. Varun moved neckand-neck before the former upped the ante to clinch the title. Aryanth came up with timely winners that put paid to the aspirations of Varun as he won the title round 6-5.

Meanwhile, Mihir Parcha hogged the limelight in the boys Under 10 category with a 6-5 (3) victory over Veneeth.

In the girls U-10 singles final, Malishka defeated P. Nirali with a 6-4 verdict to take the title while J. Srihitha overpowered Kumkum 6-5 (5) in the girls U-12 singles final to take the pride of the place on the podium.

In the girls U-14 summit clash, P. Sreshta and Sai Dhanvi were involved in a close fight before the former clinched the issue with a 6-5 (5) scoreline.
