JAGRUTHI COLLEGE WIN WEIGHTLIFTING EVENT

Jagruthi Degree College’s (Malkajigiri) weightlifters were too powerful for their rivals as they guided their team to the top in Osmania University’s InterCollege Weightlifting Championship for men conducted at Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad.

In the overall championship, Jagruthi notched the first position leaving behind Anwarul Uloom Degree College. B.J.R. Govt. Degree College (Narayanaguda) were third. Meanwhile in the 105+ kgs, Sardar Ajay Singh emerged champion while John was second best.

105+ kgs: 1. Sardar Ajay Singh (St Martin’s Degree College), 2. John (A.V. College).

105 kgs: 1. Syed Ghouse (Anwarul Uloom Degree College), 2. Md Abdul Basith (Aurora Degree College).

94 kgs: 1. A. Pawan Goud (Wesley Degree College), 2. Sai Rajat Singh (A.V. College) 3. C.K. Satish (St Martin’s Degree College).

85 kgs: 1. Varun Nag (V.V. Day), 2. Md Mehmood (UCPE), 3. M. Chandrajit (Methodist Degree College).

77 kgs: 1. N. Rohan (B.J.R. Govt. Degree College), 2. Hassan (Anwarul Uloom Degree College), 3. Md Irfan Ali (Anwarul Uloom Degree College).

69 kgs: G. Satish (Jagruthi Degree College), 2. P. Jeevan (Keshav Memorial Degree College), 3. V. R. Srikanth (Haindavi Degree College).

62 kgs: N. Eshwarnadam (Jagruthi Degree College), 2. Rayaini Siddharth Yaday (Aurora Degree College), 3. M. Bila Uddin Farogi (Anwarul Uloom Degree College).
