New York, Jan. 11: President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday attacked US companies who ship jobs offshore, singling out the pharmaceut­ical industry for high drug prices and for manufactur­ing overseas.

Mr Trump said US companies relocating production offshore are “getting away with murder” and warned their products will be hit with hefty taxes if imported into the United States.

“There will be a major border tax on these companies that are leaving and getting away with murder,” he said at his first press conference after winning the election.

He also denounced the publishing of claims he had been caught in a compromisi­ng position in Russia and attacked US intelligen­ce agencies over the leak of the informatio­n. “I think it was disgracefu­l, disgracefu­l that the intelligen­ce agencies allowed any informatio­n that turned out to be so false and fake out there...,” he said.

New York, Jan. 11: President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday attacked US companies who ship jobs offshore, singling out the pharmaceut­ical industry for high drug prices and for manufactur­ing overseas.

He called the dossier that makes salacious claims about him “fake news” and “phony stuff.”

“I think it’s a disgrace ... That’s something that Nazi Germany would have done,” he said.

Mr Trump acknowledg­ed that Russia likely hacked the Democratic National Committee and the emails of other top Democrats during the 2016 presidenti­al election, but defended his goal of better ties with Moscow.

“If Putin likes Donald Trump, I consider that an asset, not a liability,” Trump told about 250 reporters jammed into the lobby at his New York offices.

His lawyer, Sheri Dillon of Morgan Lewis, told reporters that he will resign from the Trump Organisati­on and hand over management to his sons, Don Jr and Eric.

When asked about his tak returns, the President-elect said: “I’m not releasing the tax returns because they’re under audit ... The only people that care about my tax returns is the reporters ... I won. I became president. I think you care. First of all you learn very little from tax returns.”
