ONE OF THE YOUNGEST BIKERS IN THE COUNTRY, ZOHAIR AHMED IS BURNING NEW TRACKS

Zohair Ahmed, a 22year-old bike enthusiast and an avid motovlogger from the city was recently selected for the Indian Bike Week, India’s largest festival of bikes and bikers. This makes him the only biker selected from Telangana.

With more than 40,000 viewers, he is one of the youngest bikers in India to have started motovlogging, stunt and touring sessions.

Motovlogging, or recording a video log while riding, is a relatively new concept in the country and Ahmed is one of its pioneers.

A stunt rider, Ahmed is well-known among the biking fraternity. The resident of Langer Houz will be taking his Kawasaki ER6N to the IBW, which is celebrating its 5th anniversary, to the festival.

“IBW has invited me to their Iconic 5 Chikhaldhara ride event to give a presentation about motov logging trends in India and to have an interactive session with the crowd. I will also be reviewing motorcycles. The biking culture is picking up in India, but I also hope that the government comes up with some local racetracks. I want to travel the entire country by the end of this year and put our country on the world map of motorcycling,” says Ahmed.

Ahmed shares, “I started my channel back in 2015. I make videos of what I do with my motorcycle and upload it. I use an SJCAM, which is the same as a Go Pro camera used for shooting sports activities like riding. I am known for my wheelies, but unfortunately, we don’t have any legalised practice areas in the country and I have to rely on closed/private roads for my sessions. I started motov logging with the idea of putting India on the world map of motorcycling. Sometimes, I give a little Hyderabadi touch to my videos to give my subscribers a first-hand experience of how it feels to ride around the city.”

In December, the biker completed a 3,000 km solo ride, covering Hyderabad Mumbai-Pune-Gokarna Bangalore, before returning to Hyderabad. He vlogged his entire journey.
