Sridhar smashes century

Marshall snared five wickets for Deccan Colts in a losing cause in the Hyderabad Cricket Associatio­n’s one-day league match. Srinivas, Pranay, Harshavard­han and Santosh Pandey shone in the two-day encounter.

Sridhar Sharma smashed an emphatic 120 to steer Lal Bahadur Cricket Club to a crushing 260-run win over Deccan Colts in the Hyderabad Cricket Associatio­n’s One-Day League Championsh­ip encounter.

Lal Bahadur posted an mammoth 401 runs against Deccan Colts with the help of Sridhar Sharma and Raza Moosavi, who fell short of century by four runs, while Marshall of Deccan Colts snapped five wickets for 90 runs.

In reply, Narendra scored 61 runs but could not find batsmen to support him as Deccan Colts folded for 141 runs in 23.3 overs.

Parmeshwar Reddy and Syed Mujtaba picked four wickets each for Lal Bahadur Cricket Club.

In another match, Harshavard­han Reddy and Santhosh Pandey of Deccan Wanderers hogged the limelight by scalping four Sayi Satya wickets in the two-day (Elite) championsh­ip match.

Deccan Wanderers posted 243 runs on the board as Srinivas and Pranay made 71 and 59 respective­ly. Sandeep of Sayi Satya snapped three wickets for 28 runs.

Satya Sayi were bowled out for 131 runs in 58.5 overs. Following on they could only manage 151 runs for the fall of six wickets with the help of Aashish Katipally who scored 64 runs. Pratyush of Deccan Wanderers bowled well to scalp three wickets while conceding 30 runs as the match ended in a draw.

■ Two Day (Elite) Championsh­ip: Deccan Wanderers 243 in 58.4 overs (Pranay 59, Srinivas 71, Sai Sandeep 3/28) drew with Sayi Satya 131 in 58.5 overs (Varun 48 n.o., Harshavard­han Reddy 4/29, Santhosh Pandey 4/46) and following on 151/6 in 35 overs (Aashish Katipally 64, Pratyush 3/30).
