FATEH FLY HIGH WITH WIN AGAINST OZONE

Fateh Hyderabad had their first away victory of the first round beating Ozone FC, a Bangalore team, 2-1 at the Bangalore Football Stadium.

Fateh Hyderabad maintained dominance over their rivals right from the first minute of the match. The visitors domination was evident as they had to win and get three points to keep the destiny of qualifying for the national round in their own hands.

The first goal for Fateh came in very early into the match in the third minute when Nima Tamang very skillfully finished the ball into the net after a great pass by Manoj Swamy Kannan.

The second goal for Hyderabad side came in the 22nd minute when Bonison Singh effortless­ly slid the ball into the net.

A few minutes before the half time, in the 39th minute, the hosts pulled one goal back and reduced the margin when Anto Xavier scored a goal through a corner.

The play was halted when Fateh’s goalkeeper collided with his teammate and had to get treated. He was then taken to the hospital.

With this crucial away win, Fateh secured three points and moved a step closer to qualifying for the national round. To seal the deal, they must ideally win their last match of the round when they face Pride Sports in Jabalpur next on February 24.
