The film’s shoot resumed soon after cops resolved the problem

Shooting glitches are not new for Tollywood, but for Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadham, what began as a minor issue stalled the shoot, after public protest led to the police being called in. The shoot of the movie was going on at the world heritage site Chennakeshava Temple in Belur, Karnataka when the whole issue happened.

“All the necessary permissions were taken to shoot at the location, including a go-ahead from the Department of History and Archaeology. However, people protested when a statue of Lord Siva was brought to the temple for the shoot, claiming that it was against tradition. To restore normalcy, the shoot had to be stalled temporarily,” informs a source, adding, “Also, visitors were furious as they were not allowed in the temple during the shoot. The cops were immediately called to calm down the situation.”

The shoot of the film, which stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead, was resumed soon after. The film’s first look, in which Allu Arjun’s Vanta Brahmadu avatar was released on Saturday, went viral soon after.
