ICICI Bank is sending credit card bill since 2yrs
It’s unethical on the part of ICICI Bank to trouble a customer like me since two years by sending a huge credit card bill which I never owed. The original text msg reads, “Dear customer, `1,49,907.51 is due for ICICI credit card XX0006. Please make the payment to avoid charges and ensure uninterrupted card usage.” This message was repeatedly sent to my mobile number 9908179810 for the past two years or so. I would like to clarify that I don’t have any amount due to ICICI Bank since the last five years till I received a credit card from it. The entire amount due from me was paid on time without fail every month.
I contacted several times ICICI customer care service executives by spending a lot of money talking to them on the phone. However, they are unable to sort out the issue. Instead they wash their hands off telling cock and bull stories.
They say I am one Srinath Chowdhury and that’s the number that I have given to them while I am neither Srinath Chowdhury nor know anybody by the name of Srinath Chowdhury.
When I asked to give them the details of that person to file an FIR with the police they refuse to cooperate and say it’s their policy not to disclose identities of anybody. Recently, I talked to a customer care service executive named Shiva (as told to me) (tkt number 457771646) to resolve the issue but that was in vain.
The poor customer service and irresponsible behaviour and negligence of ICICI Bank put me under severe stress and depression. I request ICICI Bank to resolve the issue at the earliest and give me an explanation for the same as soon as possible. I also request the police to take action against the bank. B. Anand R.
