DJ Clichy takes decks to Abu Dhabi

-

Manchester City defender Gael Clichy wasn’t interested in catching up on sleep or watching a marathon of box sets during the eight-hour flight back to England after the mid-season break in Abu Dhabi.

Instead the 31-year old former French international set up a full set of DJ decks in his business class cabin.

But it’s not the first time Clichy has taken his decks away on team trips. Most notably, the Frenchman took his entire DJ setup Down Under for City’s pre-season tour of Australia in 2015.

Rumour has it that the City stalwart takes his job as the club’s dressing room DJ so seriously that he might become a DJ when he finally hangs up his boots.

Clichy, who made the £7million move to Manchester from Arsenal in 2011, is out of contract at the end of the season and it’s thought that he will not be offered any sort of extension.

Pep Guardiola jetted off to the Middle East with his City stars hours after their stunning Champions League first leg win against Monaco for some warm weather training.

City enjoyed a training camp at the luxurious five-star Emirates Palace hotel and met with club owner Sheikh Mansour during the trip.

City have taken full advantage of the 11-day gap in the schedule as they face Huddersfield in the FA Cup fifth round replay on March 1.
