Du Plessis leads Proteas recovery

-

Hamilton: New Zealand's muddled use of the review system allowed Faf du Plessis and Hashim Amla to lead a South African recovery on a rain-hit day one of the third Test in Hamilton on Saturday. New Zealand had lost their two reviews by the 29th over, and were powerless to react 13 balls later when the umpires missed a faint edge which should have seen du Plessis caught behind for 16. At stumps, the Proteas’ captain had advanced to 33, Temba Bavuma was on 13. Only 41 overs were possible with nearly three hours play lost because of rain and further showers are forecast for the remaining four days. — AFP
