AP GETS CASHLESS DEAL FROM CENTRE
Overheard in the corridors of power was a conversation between three Telangana state IAS officers. They were discussing the legal status for the AP special assistance measure, recently accepted by the Union Cabinet. The first official said the TS government too should demand a special package. The second officer said the Centre could extend the same package to all states if it wanted. How, the first official asked. The second official pointed out there was no financial obligation in the special package and AP would not get any money out of it. The third IAS officer had the last word: It was a “cashless” transaction, he said.
