TMR SCHOOLS GET GOOD RESPONSE

Hyderabad: The Telangana Minorities Residentia­l Institutio­nal Educationa­l Society (TMREIS) secretary, Mr B. Shafiullah, said there has been a good response to admissions in TMR schools across the state. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Mr Shafiullah said that nearly 86,000 registrati­ons for admissions were received for 31,000 available seats across 204 TMR schools. For Hyderabad district, more than 9,000 applicatio­ns were received for 8,000 seats available under different categories. Admissions to 39 TMR schools of Hyderabad would be finalised by a draw of lots on April 23. Elsewhere, the first phase of admission has been completed in all districts and admission finalised by draw of lots on April 13. For left over seats, admission will be given at ertswhile district level by draw of lots community-wise on April 24. The TMREIS secretary said a helpline number, 0402343790­9, has been started for any enquiries pertaining to the admissions. He also said that a 15-day summer camp would be held for the students of TMR schools from April 24. The students will participat­e in various sports activities at LB Stadium, Gachibowli Stadium, Yacht Club at Tank Bund, Polo Club in Aziz Nagar and other venues.
