Two blade attackers held

Vijayawada: Central Crime Station (CCS) officials of Vijayawada city police arrested two notorious criminals on Wednesday who threatened to attack people with blades. According to the CCS police, Mogal Nayeem, 25, and P. Bhaskar, 24, were fruit vendors at Kaleswarar­ao Market and both were a part of blade batch gangs in the city since a year. They attacked a pedestrian with blades at Mangalagir­i’s Ganesha temple on April 9. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries on his back and Bhaskar and Nayeem got some cuts on hands. They escaped from taking some money from the pedestrian. They were arrested on Wednesday night. While investigat­ing police found that several old cases were pending against the two criminals.
