Branding exercise to stretch over a period of 2 months
A Spicejet aircraft is seen with a Telangana Tourism hoarding featuring the Golconda fort and the Qutub Shahi tombs, at the Shamshabad airport on Tuesday. The state government has tied up with the airline to publicise holiday spots.
In order to promote tourism destinations in the state, the TS government will be advertising the charms of its many tourist locations on the body of a Spice Jet Boeing aircraft. The tourism department logo and some text about tourist spots in the state will be displayed. Besides this, the cabin bulk heads at both entry and exit points, as well as seats will carry advertisements of TS tourism’s promotional offers etc.
The branding exercise will stretch over two months. Tourism minister Ajmeera Chandulal, chairman of the Tourism Development Corporation , Pervaram Ramulu, secretary of tourism, B Venka tesham, and other officials from the department unv eiled the Branding Logo and label on a Spice Jet Boeing on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media at Rajiv Gandhi Internation al Airport, Mr Venkate sham said that this was a unique initiative taken by the Telangana Tourism Department. “The Boeing flight will be travelling to various states and cities within India and to a few international destinations like Muscat, Abu Dhabi etc, making a minimum of 8 to 10 trips per day,” he said.
Mr Ramulu said that Telangana had great touri sm potential like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Rajasthan, and more interstate and international tourists will be expected to visit TS after the two-month promotion by Spice Jet.
