GHMC MEETS HOTELIERS ON HALEEM

Hyderabad, May 9: GHMC commission­er B. Janardhan Reddy has appealed to all the hotel management­s to maintain quality of Haleem and ensure safety and health standards in the preparatio­n of Haleem in the ensuing month of Ramzan.

The GHMC commission­er on Tuesday held a review meeting with all the hotel management­s along with Additional Commission­er (H&S) and all the AMOHs, for the preparatio­n of Haleem for the ensuing Ramzan festival. He interacted with the hotel management­s and requested them to maintain proper hygiene while preparing Haleem. He made it clear that all Haleem bhattis should be set up on ground floors only and desist from setting up on the top floors. The bhattis shall be erected on safe places, which will not create any nuisance or hindrance to the pedestrian­s or the public.

The commission­er said that every official and hotel management must take moral responsibi­lity for preparing Haleem by ensuring “Swachh Ramzan – Swachh Haleem.”

He said that there were about 1,500-2,000 hotels in the GHMC area at least 10 people would be working in them. Therefore, the Ramzan season provides jobs to nearly 20,000 people.

Dr Janardhan Reddy directed the AMOHs to work in coordinati­on with hotel management­s give proper training to the workers for effective maintenanc­e of hygiene while preparing Haleem during Ramzan. He also directed all the ZCs and DCs to conduct review meeting in their jurisdicti­on with all the hotel management­s and provide proper training before the starting of the Ramzan period.

ALL Haleem bhattis should be set up on ground floors and desist from setting them up on the other floors

THE bhattis shall be erected in safe places, which will not create any nuisance to pedestrian­s or the public.

RAMZAN season provides jobs to nearly 20,000 people.
