Major fire at Afzalgunj godown

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at a godown of tyres and spare parts at Afzalgunj. The main cause of fire is said to an electrical short circuit. Additional district fire officer Y. Prabhakar Reddy said, “The fire was dense due to tyres burning and also there was a lot of scrap material. We got a call at 8.30 am and the firefighting tender from Chandulal Baradari rushed to the spot. Two more from Gowliguda and Malakpet were sent which put out the fire.”
