Balapur Chaitanya terminated my job

It was done to save on salary

- M. Anil Kumar, Lecturer in Economics 9912244707/ 9393281115 Plot .No. 14P Satya Sai Nagar, RCI Road, Jillellaguda malyala.anilkumar24@gmail.com;

Iam a 43-year-old postgraduate in Economics and has the teaching experience of 20 years in a junior college.

Last year, on June 1, I joined Chaitanya Junior College at Triveni Nagar, Balapur X Roads, Balapur, RCI Road, R.R. District as a senior lecturer in Economics on condition that I will be paid 12 months’ salary by the college director and correspondent Pratap Reddy.

But, after nine months, on February 28 this year, the director terminated my services without any prior intimation.

Some other staff members too were sacked on one pretext or the other.

It seems the institution does this every year to save on salaries.

It has become a system for it to employ staff for 12 months and then terminate their services.

This is highly unethical. The director even manhandles students and behaves rudely with girl students. He even keeps the certificates of the lecturers with him and does not provide them provident fund facility.

I have filed a complaint with the District Education Officer as also at the Employees’ Provident Fund Office, but no action has been taken.

I come from an ordinary family, and I have a family to support besides other financial commitments.

There is no way for me other than committing suicide with my family. I expect that justice will be done to me based on my complaints to the authorities.
