Minor sodomises 11-yr-old boy

-

A 11-year-old boy was sexually assaulted by his 15year-old friend in Ghatkesar.

Police found that both the boys were friends from childhood and went to the same school.

Meanwhile, Balala Hakkula Sangham said that unsupervised exposure of children to social media is behind such incidents.

Police said the 15-year-old boy was studying in Class VIII and the 11-year-old victim in Class VI in the same school in Ghatkesar. Both of them live in the same village.

They are friends from childhood and used to play together every evening near their house.

On Sunday evening, the two boys along with a group of around 10 other boys were playing at the regular spot. Meanwhile, the 15-year-old boy called the victim saying that he would give him a playing top.

When the boy went with him, the juvenile took him into the nearby bushes, sexually assaulted him and fled from the spot.

The victim ran home crying and explained to his parents about what had happened. They alerted the police and later lodged a complaint.

A case of unnatural sex (Section 377) and Section 5 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered.

"We have sent the victim boy for medical examination and he is out of danger now. Meanwhile, the juvenile boy admitted the offence. He will be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board soon," Ghatkesar inspector B. Prakash said.

Balala Hakkula Sangham President Anuradha Rao said that parents should be held responsible for such incidents as they do not spend time with their kids.

She said that education institutions should create awareness about good touch and bad touch among boys too

The case is being investigated by the police.
