Cameroonia­n held with drugs

Hyderabad police busted another drug racket involving a foreign national by arresting a Cameroonia­n at Golconda. The cops seized 90 grams of cocaine and 60 grams of heroin from him. The suspect was trying to hand over drugs to his local source when he was caught by the task force.

Police said the suspect, McDonald Nche Antene, 26, is studying B.Com final year at St Mary’s College, Yousufguda. McDonald found that drug peddling was an easy way to earn extra money. “He stays at a rented flat in Brundavan Colony near Golconda. When he faced a financial crunch he found some Nigerians in his friends' circle selling drugs. That made him take up the business,” Commission­er’s Task Force DCP B. Limba Reddy said.

used to get cocaine from an unknown source and sell it in Hyderabad. McDonald also decided to do the same. He started buying cocaine from Paul for `3,000 per gram and selling it for `5,000 to `6,000 to locals,” said the DCP.

Police said that to find customers he used to visit pubs, and restaurant­s. “He got acquainted with some junkies and through them he expanded his customer base,” the DCP added.

On Saturday he was waiting for customers near his place when the police nabbed him. The cops are now looking for Paul who sold the drugs to him.
