Mining work goes on, says SCCL

Hyderabad: The management of Singreni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) on Sunday claimed that coal mining operations were not affected badly by the strike by workers demanding dependent jobs. In a statement, the SCCL management claimed that nearly 77 per cent workers attended their duties. On the first day of the strike, the attendance was just 45 per cent. The management also claimed that the production had increased by about 15% compared to regular working days. — INN
