KHAMMAM DOCTOR SELLS BABIES, HELD

-

Aadhaar and Income Tax websites underwent technical glitches on Friday as people rushed to link their Aadhaar and PAN cards by the June 30 deadline.

Users faced difficulties logging on to the websites to update their details, particularly if there was a mismatch between the details on the PAN card and Aadhaar card.

Some website servers could not deal with the heavy rush of users who tried to log on and there was poor Internet connectivity to contend with as well.

Those using BSNL broadband connection faced connectivity issues and could not log on to the websites.

“If there is no mismatch between details provided in Aadhaar and PAN cards, the linkage was smooth. If there was mismatch, the system provided links to Aadhaar and Income—Tax websites to update details on either of the cards. Even after submitting these details, the process could not be completed due to technical glitches,” said P. Niveditha, who works in a software company.

Some users said it was most difficult between 10 am and 1 pm but by 3 pm the websites functioned normally.

“Some of my friends could do linkage easily in the morning before 10 am. Those who tried to log on to the websites between 10 am and 3 pm faced problems. But by evening, the websites functioned normally,” said Ch Ramakrishna, a trader.
