Nuisance from builder

Illegal building blocking the flow of rainwater

-

There is an illegal building, 11-5456,456/A, opp FAPCCI, Red Hills Road, adjoining my residence.

Around an year back, the builder tampered with a storm water drain that runs under the premises as well as my house. Besides, the passage and approach to my premises has also been blocked. Due to this, there is repeated flooding on my premises. This led to the collapse of a boundary wall last year on May 20 causing a huge loss to me with the house becoming unlivable for almost a week.

The water levels in the cellar of the adjoining illegal building regularly rises close to electrical installations.

The more than 60-foot tall building close to my residence has a very short setback of just around four feet and is at risk of collapsing.

The GHMC engineering department executive engineer had inspected the place but has not done anything to get things rectified.

The Deputy Commissioner, Circle 7-A, is ignoring the issue and is not responding even to an RTI query.

They have made the builder rebuild the collapsed wall that too after 10 months and many efforts.

For over a year, my redidence has constantly remained exposed and vulnerable to this looming threat and I am being caused great mental agony by the authorities due to their callous and highly questionable inaction. Fareed Ahmed 11-5-455, Red Hills, 23393212
